Peace Perfume

nervous-woman-cartoonI don’t know about you, but I’m finding it pretty tricky to have much peace these days.

There are so many tasks in front of me that I never seem to catch up. Whatever I offer falls short of somebody’s expectations. There’s bad news everywhere I look.

It’s as if the world I thought I knew has been turned upside down. Life is filled with confusion and conflict, and there’s no way to avoid it.

What’s a woman to do?

Yesterday I figured it out.

We need a peace dispenser and an atomizer would be the most appropriate vessel.

atomizerWhenever strife arises in our homes, we could simply eliminate it with a spritz of Peace Perfume.

Squeeze. Puff.
Sibling rivalry stops.

Squeeze Squeeze. Puff.
Marital discord dissolves.

Sqeeze. Sqeeze. Squeeze. Puff. Puff.
Worry, tension, scheming . . . disappear.

We’d be able to walk through our days with peaceful hearts and lives. Everyone around us would bask in the peace of our countenance and conversation. Oh the joy!

That may all be a lovely scenario, but the most creative imagination can’t make a peace-producing atomizer a reality.

Don’t worry. God’s got a better way, a sure way to fill our lives with peace.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:4-7

1. Rejoice in the Lord … REJOICE IN JESUS ALL THE TIME.

2. Be known for your gentleness.

3. Remember God is with you.

4. Instead of worrying, pray and plead with your Father in heaven.

5. Wrap your communication with Him in gratitude.

THEN divine peace will secure, protect, defend your very being in The Son.

Following His directions might not be as easy as squeezing the ball of an atomizer, but God’s promises are 100%. He assures His presence with those who love Him both now and through eternity. Now THAT is peace.

If this post encourages you, please share it with others you’d like to bless. Thank you.
