Woman of Choice, more than shoes

elevatorThe ability to make decisions is one of the ways God shares His image with His people.
It’s pretty clear since Eden that we women not only have that ability. We exercise it.

We choose our food and drink, our hairstyles and clothes, especially shoes. (We can’t forget shoes.) We choose our activities and relationships, our devices and cars, our grocery stores and nail salons. We’re surrounded by choices.

Lately I’ve been considering choices we make on a deeper level, the kind that usually go undetected.

For example, I can choose to wallow in the difficult circumstances I face or I can choose to focus my attention on the One who allows them and is using them for my good. Romans 8:28

I can choose to give credit to the enemy when frustrations arise or I can choose to thank God for being with me in the midst of them.  Hebrews 13:5

I can choose to overlook an offense or I can choose to work through it with God’s grace. 2 Corinthians 12:9

BoatJust the thought of so many choices makes me feel like a tiny boat on a big ocean hoping to find the way to a safe harbor. Thankfully I do not have to rely on myself.

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
so not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and hep you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10 NIV1984

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.”  Philippians 2:13

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:6

As far as life goes, God’s Word gives us the key decision.
“Choose this day [hour / moment] whom you will serve.” Joshua 24:15

Version 2Father, Son, Holy Spirit, I choose YOU.

choose YOUR presence.
choose YOUR plan.
choose YOUR will.

You too are a Woman of Choice.

I pray the Father’s love draws you in, empowers you, and blesses your soul.

With growing confidence in His ways,
Sandra
