Her back shot bolt upright. The eye witness report swept across her mind. Could it be?

She flipped pages to gain a foothold with more familiar words.

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20*

Eyebrows furrowed, Britney’s thoughts climbed the virtual ladder of truth she knew so well.

Christ died to rescue me from the consequences of sin.
The indwelling Holy Spirit confirms Christ’s presence in me.
Christ lives not only in, but by the gift of faith through me.

Her fingers returned her to the previous passage.

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased” — and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 2 Peter 1:16-18

Could it be that since Christ has taken over my life the Father sees me the same way?

“Father, we both know I’m not perfect. Please help me understand.”

Another verse popped up.

For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust. Psalm 103:14

The impression bypassed her ears and went straight to her heart. This is My beloved Daughter with whom I am well-pleased. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Where do you sit in relation to the throne of grace?
If you haven’t yet, perhaps now’s the time to ponder your answer.
