How do you approach the changing of the calendar? Make resolutions. Choose a word. Review the previous year with gratitude for all God has done. Take the new year to Him with requests for insights and blessings. Some combination. Something different.

January 1 is often set aside to undertake one or more of the above. Perhaps, like me, your preparation has already begun. Have you been sifting ideas and making plans about what you want to do that day?

A lot of exciting things happened in the last 12 months so my review will be filled with praises. Many unknowns loom in the coming 12 so petitions will undoubtedly run high. God seems to be calling me to an extra-ordinary experience this time around.

The draw I feel is stronger than any I’ve felt. It’s as if Holy Spirit is leading me to open my deepest parts … not to apply a white glove inspection, but to access a fresh level of intimacy. And His timing is perfect, for my soul’s yearning is fierce.

Behold, You [God] desire truth in the innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Psalm 51:6

How about you? As you look back, do you see the blessings of His intervening presence?
Could the LORD be inviting you to an intimate conversation about more of the same?

May His blessings abound to you in 2019.
